New years Eve with Tony was great. He brought in the New Millennium with his count down. Then the party  started  people singing and dancing in the aisles. Tony brought in his friends Elvis  Chubby Checker and others. We all had a wonderful New Years Eve with Tony. We took pictures after the show  it was late but Tony always talks to his fans. A night you never forget. And many more to come.

Please solve an argument about Tony's age
Monday 27-Dec-1999 20:34:48
Hi.  Over the holiday weekend  a good natured argument broke out about Tony's age (unfortunately the arguement was between the two elder family members).  Any information about his age or date of birth is appreciated.

Tony in Atlantic City
Monday 27-Dec-1999 20:04:01
Hi there and happy holidays to everyone! I just returned from seeing Tony's show at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City on opening day.  What a wonderful show and a terrific crowd.  Jo from Ny came down for the day.  We had lunch and then off to the showroom.  I have a wonderful friend that got me the tickets and we had front row seats.  The show was terrific as always!  I can say that since I am well on my way to probably the 200 mark lol.  Tony did some new songs and had the audience eating out of his hand.  He has a guy named Johnny Petillo singing part of the show with him.  Its a real family affair this week in Atlantic City. Tony has Frannie  Jenny Rose and Jon with him and also  Tony brought his mother for the week.  Jo and I got to spend time with Tony backstage and he was his sweet and wonderful self.  Cant wait for next time.

I just wanted to thank you for your song  Yellow Ribbon.  Your song meant so much to all my brothers who served in Viet Nam.  How unfair it is that you can't have the rights to your song.
I served in the military from '67 to '71 but was not sent to Viet Nam.  Your song will forever be linked to my generation and to how most of America truly felt.  God Bless you and never give up  Tony.  We love you!

Hi Dianne:  Thanks for the information. We have a bulletin about Tony's up and coming performances posted on our contents page as well as a page containing his show dates which we will add to as details become available.
I know he has been missed in Branson and many people will be so happy to hear that he is returning during 2000. I know I am. I live closer to Branson than most of the places he has been traveling to so I will be able to see him again.

This is great news! I can't wait to see what his schedule is.  My husband and I have not been to Branson since Tony quit performing there. I was thinking about going to Florida to catch his show but Branson is only about 7 hours from where we live. Your message has made my day!!!!!!I'll be looking for an update on his schedule.

My family & I had the pleasure of finally seeing Tony's Christmas show. It was as splendid as everyone who had seen it told me! After following Tony for over 25 years & growing up with him in my life I finally got to have my children see him perform and my 4yr. old daughter  Amanda got to meet Santa thanks to Tony  and thanks to her  Tony became a believer in Santa. And thanks to Tony he invited her back on stage so I could get some pics. Tony is just one special man...He never lets you down. Again Amanda thanks you Tony for giving her the time to meet  hug & kiss Santa. She also sends Tony another hug and kiss and she thinks you're cute too! My 12yr. old son thinks your band is Amazing! Thank you Tony for being you! My husband & I will be spending New Years Eve with Tony which as always  Tony will be TOPS!! One incredible performer but a real friend... To everyone out there  from our family to yours  have a very Happy Healthy Safe Holiday and God Bless!! And as the saying is  To see Christmas through the eyes of a child  my Amanda is still smiling. Thanks Santa  Thanks Tony. Also a belated Happy Birthday to Joyce! Happy Holidays all  from The Amatos;Frank  Linda  Robert  & Amanda

Hello  and welcome to the board!
The latest CD released is a compilation CD called  "Knock Three Times: The Encore Collection". There was also a CD released in 1998 called  "Tony Orlando and Dawn - The Definitive Collection". Neither CD contains any new songs  just many of their big hits. These CDs are available on many on-line music stores such as  CDNow and Barnes and Noble.

Dawn  Telma Joyce Pam
Monday  6-Dec-1999 02:29:33
Does anybody know if Telma  Joyce  Pam sang backup to the song called Disco Lady? Because I listen to the song on the radio it sounds like them. The song came out about 1978  I am not too sure of the date. I know they sang backup with the alot of good artist. Thank you for helping me to solve the puzzle.

    Re: Dawn  Telma Joyce Pam

Back in Detroit  Pam Vincent used to sing with a group called "Brandye."  The group consisted of Donna Davis  Cynthia Douglas and Pam Vincent.  They did the background vocals on Disco Lady as well as most other Johnny Taylor songs.  In earlier days Joyce Vincent  Telma Hopkins and Pam Vincent did a lot of Johnny Taylor background vocals as well.

Joyce  Happy Birthday
Wednesday  1-Dec-1999 00:34:22
I believe Joyce Vincent's birthday is December 18th. If this is true  Happy Birthday Joyce and God bless you and many more birthdays. It would be nice if you and Telma and Pam would release a record because you all have great voices together. I am the biggest fan of you all  since I was ten years old  I have every record album  every 45's they did because their was alot of their songs was not on the Lps  and their great songs like Don't Act Like Baby  Know You Like A Book  Spark Of Love  I can't Believe How Much I Love You it is a little differen't on the flip side of Vaya Con Dios  than Tune Weaving LP it seemed slower version  also I have their tour program book  it is great. Boy i wish those days are back again  It would be great if TOAD would release more music. Sorry for going on so much but I can't help it. It so nice to share to talk to other fans of TOAD  thank God for this web site  it is great keep up the great work. Thanks again   John.

Hi John   Actually  Joyce's birthday is the 14th  but you were very close. I never noticed the difference in the LP and single versions of "I Can't Believe How Much I Love You". I will have to listen for that the next time I play them.
Don't worry about going on about TOAD because all of us on the board feel the same way as you do about them  so we understand :). I agree  I wish those days were back again. They were a very special group and touched many people with their music.
I'm glad you're enjoying the web site. Putting TOAD fans in touch with each other was exactly the reason I started the site and I'm glad that it is accomplishing that.

Julie let me know if you notice the difference of the two versions. P.S. Do you know where I can buy the Encore cd? Please let me know.  Happy Holidays

John   I will let you know about "I Can't Believe How Much I Love You". I usually have an album going when I work on the web site  so I'll listen for it then. I believe the Encore CD is available through some of the on-line music stores. You might try CDNow or the Barnes and Noble web site. I still have not found it in any stores.
Thanks John and happy holidays to you as well.
